I am in my promotion year (to manager) and have list of clients that I manage personally already. How much revenue do you manage in your positions at the senior and manager levels?

I’m a 3rd year manager. First year was 1.1M, year 2 1.5M, this year project 1.8M

Thanks for the insight!

Managers $1.0-1.5M and senior managers $1.6M and up, varies at firms though.

I am a clinical research coordinator working in Austin, Texas. I have my Masters in Cell & Molecular Biology and have a year of laboratory research experience.

I’ve been in my position for 5 months now. I make $27 hourly which amounts to about $51,000 yearly. Am I being under paid? Are all coordinator positions hourly? As a laboratory researcher I was salary :(

How do I go about asking for a raise or should I explore other companies or medical schools that have clinical research?

I got denied for promotion in my current organization and was released to bench from my project, despite being eligible for the same.
I was suffering through health issues and tried my level best to balance work and my doctor's appointments. Yet, this is the ending that I had to see.
What should I do? I'm feeling lost as I have 2.25 YoE and I'm in a domain where it's next to impossible to switch company. Please help!

There’s an opportunity to step up into the role of Director of Product, but I’ve only got 2.5 years of experience and am already being paid below average by like 15%. I’ve accepted this because A. My company has historically underpaid people but I still like the people and B. My lack of experience. I think a promotion would come with a raise, but the percentage difference would most likely only grow and I’m not sure that would be ok with the responsibilities I’d be stepping into. Any advice?

At what number do you feel like you’re making enough whether to satisfy your desires or just not feel guilty about spending money.I’ve been blessed to have my income raised a total of 85% throughout 9 years but shortly after each raise I still feel like it’s not enough to live by and that I’m always behind. I live in a high cost area and make triple of what my friends make yet it still doesn’t feel enough. Cont’d

Do you feel like the competition is much higher lately for startups in terms of winning the attention of investors, or have there been more investors entering the market to fund more potential succeses (to make up for it)? Bought a car today. Finance Manager tried to get me to sign the Bill of Sale without reviewing the carfax report, despite it being mandated by the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act. She ultimately gave it to me after I insisted and contrary to her initial assurance, when I looked at it myself, the car had an open recall. Do I raise the concern with OMVIC (vehicle sales regulator) or am I just pissed off and should forget it?

I hit my one year at my company on the 15th of November. I had lunch with my boss on the 10th and he mentioned a raise but not how much or when it would be effective.

Flash forward to now, we’ve had 2 paychecks since then and I haven’t received anything. He said last week he would let me know this week, but I’m getting frustrated.

He’s raising my billing rate effective Jan. 1, and I’m worried I won’t get my raise until then. Anyone have something similar happen?

What's the best way to ask for a pay raise?

When I was headhunted for the job, ESG was a relatively new concept and too few companies hire for related positions. I didn't find any salary range from Glassdoor or anywhere so I had no idea. My fault was I did not ask the HR and just gave my asking salary. When I saw a similar post from my company (I was already hired that time), they were already including the pay range and I realized mine was way below. I'm already 2.8 yrs in the role.

It seems like everyone is in agreement that switching firms gives you a salary boost, but that you could be viewed as someone that doesn’t stick around. Has anyone felt like they got held back from jumping firms every 2-3 years for the salary bump? I know peers that bounced around 2-4 times in a 7 year span and they are making significantly more money than if they stayed at their first job, however it didn’t seem like any of the new companies cared that they bounced around. Other experiences?
