I am in the customer service and sales side of travel insurance, and I am looking for a new job, possibly in another field. A much larger company purchased us 2 years ago, and over the last 6 months I have lost 2 designations, one as an advocate, which was my most rewarding. I was told that it had nothing to do with my performance. Any suggestions on how to obtain a position in another area? Such as going from strictly customer service and sales to advocate and claims? Thanks

Apply for entry level claims adjuster roles. Customer service background is a great skill set for claims.

Out of curiosity, is consulting, esp MBB consulting not as coveted as they were several years ago? I keep seeing advanced technical (data science) skills required for many industry positions, even if the role is strategic. The traditional strategy/biz ops roles seem to become more and more selective, are typical exit paths from mbb consulting becoming more of a “red sea” situation?

I joined a startup a little less than a year ago as Marketing Director. Around three months into the role, I started to experience issues with my payroll. As more time passed, the time between my expected payday and actual payday increased and the CEO stopped processing my deposits through the payroll system.

Seeking advice:

There's a manager on our team that has a very difficult managerial style (demanding, belittling, micromanaging). I'm also a manager. The staff have confided in me about how toxic it's become - to the point where one staff has cried and said they are at their breaking point. Any advice on how to handle the situation? Do I talk to the other manager about it (if so, how?)? Do I go to a senior manager? The partner?
