I am in the market for new HR software. Anyone have suggestions on the best product for Payroll, Timekeeping and tracking candidates (ATS)? It is hard to find a great product that does everything.

My company (about 100 people) loves Greenhouse for its ATS. It’s automated multiple processes for us, which I’m guessing most ATS products do now, but my favorite aspect has to be the candidate feedback feature that enables our interviewers to provide a quick thumbs up/thumbs down assessment of a candidate vis-a-vis the skills we are looking for in a role. It’s helped us make our recruiting process much more consistent thus more fair. Greenhouse also makes interview scheduling and offer letter generation and tracking a breeze. My only complaint is that Greenhouse recently made its talent prospecting feature, which was terrific and part of its basic package, an add-on for extra $$.


P.S. I realize this doesn’t solve your other problems! We weren’t able to find a product that did it all well either.

How big is your workforce?

If you don’t want to look for a separate payroll provider - ADP, Ceridian, Kronos are your options. I think BambooHR needs you to have another third party provider. Recruitment piece of ADP is really bad though. I would recommend you also to look into Zenefits. They offer a free payroll for a year for small businesses now.

Very true, we use ADP and workday.

Depends on company size if your looking enterprise ids look at ADP, WD and Ceridian. Otherwise Paylocity, bamboohr or a smaller one.

I have not directly used it but heard good things for smaller and mid size companies. I believe they do 3rd through TraxPayroll likely integrated, but you never know how connected it can be.

A awesome ATS is ATSOnDemand, but that only solves one of your issue but they integrate exceptionally well into most systems.

Is it for internal employees or for temporary work? We are also currently in that proces and I can give you an extensive list.

You should definitely also check Microsoft ATS because there is always also a Microsoft shift tool that is integrated

We use swarmHr.com let me know if you are interested I can connect.

Paycom is the only single application HR and payroll software. It allows for a seamless ATS to onboarding and through time etc. into payroll. Have you looked there?
