I am in the midst of my doctoral degree in Org Leadership. My passion is connecting employees and leadership to increase organizational performance. I have been looking into consulting after graduating. Currently in manufacturing leadership. I have Adult Education in my background (math/blue prints/industrial apprenticeships). There's a Deloitte office within commuting distance. Would my background and education be considered there?

I have 3 offers..one from Allstate , Capgemini and LTI. Total experience is 7years and tech stack is AbInitio . Compensation is similar in all, slightly high in allstate. Which is a good option among the three? considering WLB, security and learning opportunities as important parameters.

At my current firm, been seeing a lot of people get extended until eternity on the same project / clients. One of the big draws of consulting was the variety, which I am not getting here. Just signed with an MBB. Will I finally get project variety or will I continue to work at one client for up to a year?

Does anyone here struggle with finding out their purpose and knowing what they want out of their career? Especially anyone in their 30's?

I ask because I had a lot of trouble finding this out myself, and after many years of developing ways to understand myself, and creating kind of a system to do that, I started doing it with some of my friends. One of my friends recommended I check out this Fishbowl and see if anyone also can relate to that and maybe I can be helpful to anyone here!!

How does one get into people management in product? What skills are companies looking for in this role?

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? I'm coming to the end of a contract term and being converted to FTE.

The offer was presented to me by the hiring manager and not HR/Recruiter. To me it is a lower base salary offer than expected, so I asked for info on the total compensation package (base, benefits, bonus, stock/rsu, etc.), which I was told about when they took me on under the contract with the intention to convert.
