My wife is starting a full time job after 2 years. I’ve been paying all the expenses since we’ve been married. We each have our own separate accounts and a joint account. Her salary will be around $50-$75k. We agreed she needs to contribute to the expenses and I was thinking that starting off paying half the rent would be reasonable ($1,500). I just had an employee tell me they are on the verge of quitting due to burnout- actually going to quit but was told to talk to HR for options (we don't have any in place). The manager wants to keep them as they are one of our best employees.

Any recommendations on how to help alleviate burnout when the cause is from customers rather than the company? Is it worth it to let the employee leave and spend months looking for a replacement causing more stress/burnout with others?

I want to be an HR generalist, but I am afraid I may have to take a step back in order to do so. I’ve been in recruiting and the talent management sector of HR for 5+ years. Now, I want to step into a generalist role, but realize I lack some aspects of experience that I maybe could have gotten as an HR coordinator. Is this fucking normal? Should I say something and will I get in trouble for looking at a colleagues file?

Seeing this I'm depressed that will I never be the preferred candidates for such top companies?

For those of you who have gotten your SHRM, what helped you study/prepare the most? How did you decide on the CP versus SCP? I'm currently about to hit three years of experience and have a masters in I/O but my highest position has been a Coordinator II role. However, my goals are to eventually be in a management role, should I do the SCP?

I have an interview with the CDC and I wanted this job for a while now. Any insight on HR questions they may ask or how? Like is it situational? I know it’s a panel of 7 and that’s it. Anything else I need to know.

I’m not sure what to do think. We were informed our managers (Hr manager, site manager, VP of Ops) all have on site mentors and coaches. Everyone on site was notified of this change also our corporate leaders are here for 2 weeks.
