I’m interviewing for an in-house PR role (mostly content/media relations) at a digital company. I’ve had 3 interviews so far and completed one extensive writing assessment (800-word article). I’m pretty sure I have the job, and had a great interview with VP of Corp. Comms. today. She mentioned she had no hesitations about my qualifications. But the HR mgr said they now want me to do a 2nd assessment “just to dot their i’s” and they want a 750-word release by Monday. Is this normal?

Had a final round interview, heard from hiring manager I would hear back last Mon/Tues. Followed up on Wed, they provided employee benefits guide for new hires to me and mentioned I would hear a decision Thurs (didnt hear, then considered maybe Friday was a holiday).
