- HHI ~500k to 600k
- $216k cash outflows last 12 months (excluding income taxes and investments)

This recent bear market has wiped out $10k in gains i had made over the last 2 years. I am now back at my original investment and I’m wondering if I should pull out half my portfolio or just keep it in there and just buy some more? Could really use some advice

Does anyone have suggestions on approaching a raise when your company uses ‘black box’ HR formulas/bell curve distributions? Went in-house straight out of law school at a Fortune 50. Have worked for 5 years and am eligible for a promotion. I don’t want to just get what the HR system spits out, and want to be proactive with management to influence a higher raise (15-20%+) based on my performance and the current market.

I currently make $80k as an S1. I’m interviewing with a small firm (<100 people) for an M&A analyst position. The recruiter mentioned they have a decent pipeline of deals in the near future and are growing their team. I have been wanting to move into the M&A/Deals/Valuation space, so this seems like a good opportunity. Salary will be somewhere around $80k and the yearly bonus is expected to be anywhere from $20-40k for my level. Is this a good idea? The size of the firm scares me.

Anyone know what the benefits (health, 401k, etc) are like at Alvarez & Marsal? Know it’s unlimited PTO but wanted to see if they skimp on the benefits because of the high comp.
