To be honest the “thank you” emails don’t change anything at Amazon. You should have heard back within 2 business days of any phone screen and within 5 business days of an interview loop
I generally agree with Thank You notes and they certainly can do no harm, and may help in some circumstances or other companies for sure. But as far as interviewing at Amazon, the process is quite specific and driven by data and primarily includes how well the candidate answers questions based on the Leadership Principles.
Did you send thank you emails to individual thank yous to everyone on the two teams who interviewed you?
If you know the names of who you interviewed with, look them up on LinkedIn and shoot a quick email, it won’t hurt it can only help and who knows maybe someone dropped the ball (it happens) on circling back. Best of luck!
Telling from my personal experience, check your Spam folder. I had a phone interview screening with an Amazon recruiter and thought I never heard back until few days later I realised the rejection email (sent on the 2nd day after my interview) had gone straight to my spam folder.
I hope that's not the case for you and wish that you hear good news from the recruiter soon, but thought I'd share this if it helps.
I would give it a week. If you don't hear back then follow up. That is what I do.
