I am just started in to a new position. I got through the onboarding and now I am in training. Now, I will work 2 or 3 jobs to save up for retirement age when we are able to get out and experience our home planet.

Question: I currently work as an inside sales account manager selling a wide portfolio of IT products. I’ve been recruited for a role that would be an outside sales role selling ONLY a software solution that Im able to sell at my current company (but usually don’t due to other options that we are compensated better off of.) The new role would have some overlap with current customers that I work closely with now (one being a VERY large client.) Would this violate a non-compete/solicitation?

Just me? I don’t get it. I’ve interviewed for 3 large companies for a financial analyst (FP&A) position. Never heard back after 2nd-3rd round but I see all 3 being reposted. These positions at least have 100-200+ applicants. For my last job interview I made it to the 3rd round after 2 rounds and an excel test. Hiring manager even said they had to interview other applicants before coming to a decision (all 3rd round applicants passed excel test) and now none of them are qualified for the job?

Is it reasonable to expect the recruiter to tell me whether this role can pay X (my desired number)? Just had a recruiter tell me the firm doesn’t give a max number (after giving me a lower range than my current comp), so if I go in and blow their mind maybe that’s possible. Is this BS? Don’t want to waste my time or theirs

Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?

I applied to work for my dream company as an EA and the interview process was going well. They loved me but did not think I was a good fit for the role I applied for. They did however think I would be a good fit for another role opening up in a few weeks. I expressed that I was open to the role but I have not heard back since. It has been about a month. Should I give up on my dream company or trust the process? I have reached out twice so far.
