Get the contact info for HR in case you’re have questions about accessing any of this stuff next year for tax time. Note down how you’ll get your W-2, maybe write down your last network password, etc. It’ll be nearly a year between now and filing again, and it’s always a hassle trying to find this info from outside the company.

I quit making 401k contributions that wouldn’t make the match time requirement as soon as I knew I planned to leave and instead made those contributions to my brokerage & savings accounts. In the last week? Doesn’t hurt to download all of your pay stubs for reference. I’d also check your 401k, pension, and any other employer-sponsored accounts (HSA, FSA included) to see how your fees will change after leaving. Usually your employer covers those fees. Best if you can roll them over to your new employer’s sponsored accounts ASAP or owner/employer independent accounts, if you want to be able to keep an eye on fees.

Considering role at KPMG just found out from the offer that I wouldn't get any 401k match until 2 years which wasn't mentioned in interviews just that benefits offer 6% and didn't specify how eligibility works? So if I start I'm not eligible to next year then following year is when the match is paid? That is a lot of time value of money lost. Are other firms more competitive, I'm following up with pending offers from Deloitte and PWC, do they do the same?

Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ Accenture moms. Re healthcare benefits: did you select HDHP or PPO plan and why? I’ve been on the HDHP plan for the last few years, which has worked well as I almost never see a doctor, but we’re planning to get pregnant next year and I’m reevaluating my options. How many prenatal apts should I expect? Is PPO better for this? Anything you wish you had known about being pregnant with ACN health benefits?

How is your company’s health insurance. I recently left PwC and I thought the $300 a month for a family of 3 for the HD plan with $8,000 deductible was high. But at new firm I’m paying double that with a $10,000 deductible.

I received a job offer today for an entry level position. I lack experience in this field and didn't tick off all the boxes in the job description. I completed 2 conversational interviews + 1 additional interview with a skills test. They were very impressed with my skills test and all the interviewers seemed to like me a lot. I think the offer they gave was fair with market price & it pays more than my current job + benefits. I've been told to always negotiate but should I in this case?

28 yoe - Is my 401k too heavy on total stock/s&p500 if I decide to change allocation to 50% VFIAX, 40% VTSAX and 10% International total mrkt? Currently my allocation is 50% S&P, 30% Total stock, 10% International and 10% Bonds. Realized bond is making almost no money so thinking of switching moving forward. Outside of 401K, I auto-invest $500 in S&P500 every week. Am I going too heavy on one index?😭

I just turned 33 and currently have 165k in my 401k. I have a couple questions for folks who are much smarter than me on this stuff.. 1. Is that a decent amount for my age? I know some have more or less but want to make sure I’m doing okay 2. This money is split between three companies (Fidelity, T Rowe Price, etc) as I never rolled together throughout the years when switching jobs. Did I hurt myself a lot by not doing that and should I combine asap?

I have a hard time getting along with my future mother in law. She likes to talk about money, judging people/me and I never heard her compliment others. I understand it maybe her culture and background make her that way. But every time after she visited us I am extremely unhappy. She is picky about food I make, always want things changed in my house etc. Herself is not wealthy like she acts so maybe that’s why she comes off that way? She visits us quite often and I don’t know what to do…

18 weeks pregnant (1st time) and have always been an active/fit person workingout 5x/wk cardio/treadmill and some weight lifting. I've toned down my workout routine since I found out I'm preg as I got 2 v diff advice from the NP I first saw then the OB/GYN herself. NP warned of exercising as this should not be my priority now (which I agree) he warned from any running/or weight lift (were talking 40-70 lbs). Ob was so flexible about it and said I can maintain my routine as long as not exhausted.
