I am looking for a People Operations Analyst/Manager for my team in biotech, Cambridge, MA.
Salary 90k - 120k depending on the level.
Hybrid workplace, expected to be in the office on Technology Square in Cambridge 2-3 days/half-days a week. Many of our employees are working at the lab 2-3 days a week, because the lab work can't be done from home. So it's good for their morale to see HR around regularly. JD below

So, we’re 130 people well-funded biotech. There is a lot of work to be done to keep building the company. We should take employee experience on different level, and automate a lot of things. This person will own ADP, benefits, HR docs and compliance, wellness programs, employee experience and automation. I’m looking for someone who has ideas, and passionate about employee experience. Must have a GSD (get s$&t done) mentality, and detail-oriented way of working. Also, I would love to hire someone who cares about employee mental health and could help their employee experience to be positive for their mental health.

like

Requirements: adp knowledge is ideal, but any other HRIS would do. I hate ADP, but we are not getting rid of it anytime soon, so I would love to have someone who understands ADP and can build HR systems architecture around having it as Master Data tool, but not employee experience driver.
Also, I would love to work with the person who likes labor law and staying on top of it, understanding compliance and organizational impact. However, compliance shouldn’t be a cornerstone of a mindset, employee experience should.

like

Benefits knowledge is good to have, but it’s not a rocket science, anyone can learn it from the broker. Plus we’re one state based, and we don’t have hourly employees except interns. We have 4 people out of state, and none of them are in California :)

like

We do a lot of reporting and dashboards to help the business to make right decisions. So excel head will feel like home.

Also, I’ll provide an exposure to comp.
Overall, this person will have control over their future career, as they will be touching a lot of areas. We will hopefully be growing as we have an amazing science, and if this person wants to pivot later into Ops, Comp&Ben, or Employee Experience later, we will be happy to provide this opportunity along with proper training

Person who does this job now is leaving due to personal reasons, and we want to keep it confidential for now. So I don’t want to post the job anywhere.

Hi Fishes,
I had given interview for network security architect position in Feb last week. And as per recruiter, I got selected for that role. I have been asked to share the documents on March 1st. I did a few followup for the offer letter update and they asked me 2 wait for 2-3 weeks. And now they are saying position has gone on hold after I did another followup.
Could it be because of expected salary ?

Why does the 3% Conference get so much money from agencies & clients when they have a history of showcasing toxic, abusive to female employees underneath them, women in advertising? Every year, people are shocked at who gets featured there. The idea is not just to celebrate women, it’s to celebrate aspirational women. Maybe they ran out of speakers and are dipping down too much. But agencies and clients should take a hard look at who is speaking before giving money.

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

Ok if the work environment is toxic and the manager totally unsupportive ... And eventually you leave the job ... During interviews when the HR asks you why did you leave the job ? What should be the answer ? I have often seen / heard that you should never badmouth your boss or company no matter how bad the situation was at work ? Then what should be the answer to this question ?
