I'm a Deloitte Tech Strategy & Architecture Senior Consultant with a Haas MBA looking to transfer to MBB. I'm up for manager this year and appreciate that if you move over you are expected to reset to first year post-MBA but has anybody been able to negotiate maybe a 2nd year post-MBA or even a manager/PL/EM entry? What specific tech skills are MBB looking for that they would be willing to offer flexibility on starting level. Again this is for the consulting not expert tracks at MBB. Many thanks in advance!

I have about 4 years of transaction consulting WE but not sure what I'd really like to do. Would an MBA allow me to explore/find the direction I need or do I need to figure that out beforehand?

Hello. I am a non traditional student at a target school with considerable experience. I was offered a consultant level role at a B4+ consulting firm with 140 base and 30 sign on bonus. However, I am still in the recruiting cycle for MBB undergrad roles. Should I continue to pursue MBB or cut my losses and go to B4+? Got PwC Associate position in MC. They offered 20fixed + upto 20%variable (after a lot of negotiations). I think they lowballed me. 🥺 I was Sr. associate in previous organisation. (Ctc 15+) Background: Old IIM MBA Work ex: Total 4+ years. ( 2+ post mba, 2 pre mba) I am not able to justify the designation to myself. What are your views? please help me rationalize if I was lowballed or not. Thanks!
Hey Guys, I'm looking for job in Management Consultancy firms or a funded startup in India. I'm an MBA graduate with 4.5+ years of experience (3+ years in Startups). And for a fact I know that I'm highly underpaid for the skills and aggression I have. My profile is aligned towards Strategy, Program Management and Business Excellence. Do let me know if you can refer me and also on what would be the median package for the for my profile. Deloitte McKinsey & Company Bain & Company EY KPMG PwC TIA
I really want to pursue an MBA to try to pivot into a different industry but I’m getting so many (mostly older) people saying things like “ you should think about settling down” or “you should consider how an intense career is going to affect your future children” or “isn’t where you are good enough?” It’s really been bugging me because I feel like if I was a guy, I would probably hear much more supportive comments! Anyone else experience this?
What should be the salary bracket for Consultant 3 with 3.3 years of exp after a tier 2 MBA, in Consulting? I'm getting an offer of 14 fixed +10% var + 1.5 JB. This is barely a 30% hike from my current fixed so I'm curious if I'm being lowballed.
My kid has a 3.0 in high school and is stressing out about grades not being good enough. Please share stories if you were in a similar boat. Which college did you go to? Have you been successful in life?
I am having work experience in Project Controls in construction, infrastructure domain. Currently I am planning to apply for PMP certification. Will this be enough to get a job role in KPMG (Major Project Advisory) or Deloitte as Project Management Consultant ? Guys please advice.
Can you get a job in the Strategy only group (either as a Sr Consultant or Manager) without an MBA?
For the finance peeps: how will the market tanking impact the private MBA loan I am about to take?
Ultimately want to go the entrepreneurship by acquisition route in about 5 years. Struggling to figure out what to do next post consulting. Currently, 2 years in consulting after MBA. Worked for 5 years in a start up prior to MBA
Is it realistic to do a part-time weekend MBA along with crazy Consulting lifestyle? I already don’t have a life. I am thinking how will I find time to do homework or do anything outside of work.
