I am looking for some career advice. I was an intern this time last year and I started full time at the end of 2020. I want to make sure I am in a position where I can move up. I have Sec+ and I want to get more certifications too. Anyone have any advice for me?

Where are you currently? What's the possibility of speaking with your manager about it a growth path? You may be able to focus on the company itself and continue to grow through there.

I'm also interested to know what kind of growth path there is at your company. And if you feel like you have gaps in knowledge then maybe you can go about addressing those point by point with courses or such.

Work on your people and team management skills. They will become more important as you take on leadership roles.

And do you have any other tips and recommendations for someone just starting out in this career path?

Thank you in advance!

Considering an exit to a startup that just completed a solid series B. They’re willing to provide competitive comp package and surprised how large the base is for a startup. Has me concerned about being on the high end and being the first person that comes to mind when it’s time to pinch a few pennies or clean up the books ahead of future rounds/IPO. Valid concern or am I overthinking it?

After three months of job search, I started for 45K at a construction company as a Jr App Support. After a year I shifted in to QA for 65k and now after a year of QA, I have finally gotten a position as a software engineer for 78K base.

Capgemini has spent money on me filling transfer petition and premium and I'll be feeling guilty to ditch them. At the same time my manager in current company has done everything. Wat shud I do @
