I have mine and no one cares. Luckily an employer paid for it but it hasnt made a difference for me except I have the knowledge. It was essentially like taking a senior level college statistics class.
It is good to have it once you start having more managerial positions.
Lean is out and Agile is in. We used to require every supervisor to get at least the yellow belt. Green belt only really matters if you’re going for a Black Belt but if you’re not and if your company isn’t paying for it I would switch to Agile certs or scrum certs.
Thank you! Oh wow, I will look into Agile & Scrum certs.
I am intrested in this too
Is something stopping you from getting your certificate?
It would help you in the long term (maybe in the interview process). Usually, you would first have to get your feet in the door, and you wouldn't be using anything of the certification. Unfortunately, the health care service is run by old-school people resistant to change.
Thank you! Yes I’ve been in healthcare for 3 yrs but having a hard time transitioning into roles that aren’t pt facing w/o a BS.
Why do you want to do LSS? Job opportunity? Promotion? Personal goal? I personally don't think it's worth it.
Thank you so much :) That means a lot!
Many times this can be obtained through your employer. Wouldn’t waste time/$$ doing additional certs at this time. Spend time working on your resume, doing internships, networking, career fairs, etc. Nobody expects you to be managing projects right out the gate without industry experience.
