Your best tool if you want to use a source of actual truth is to look for job postings for similar jobs that have salary ranges listed. The rest of the stuff readily available is mostly crowdsourced and your employer likely already knows that data isn’t really valid for purposes of setting salaries internally.

Agreed!

We're using Radford. I've heard good things about Payscale/ Payfactors as well.

We currently use pay scale and we’re looking at Mercer as well.

Payscale is a good starting point but not great. The rates it is currently pulling are much below what the market actually demands currently. We have better luck asking our recruiting agencies what they are seeing in the market

I am the senior underwriting for a real estate company. I am negotiating my bonus structure with my employer. It is going to be based on the size of deal we close with an option to roll it/a portion of it into the deal. What is a normal % to ask for? The typical deal size is $80m-$100m. It seems like they want to do it in tranches, meaning up to x I’ll get a smaller percentage, up to y I’ll get a larger %, etc. I’ve never had a deal based bonus structure, so I’m totally lost here. Thanks!

Hi! I accepted an offer about two months ago and have been working full time since. (I know my title says intern, but I'm not anymore, it won't let me change it lol)
Now someone I know, with less experience, just got hired for the same position as me with the same salary AND a sign on bonus.

Should I renegotiate my salary/ask for a delayed sign on bonus, or is it too late? Any tips on what to do, or should I just deal with it?

I have been in HR for 7 years now and am finding it difficult to find an employer with proper work-life balance. I would like anytime that I’m out of the office to be secured me time. Should I continue to look for a more fitting opportunity or is anyone finding this standard for HR?

I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!

Has anyone been termed for performance?

Any tips for conducting an internal I-9 audit? In looking at ours there are a ton of errors like outdated forms that were used and missing document info in section 2.. I have the guide from ICE that explains how to correct mistakes so I’m going by that. Curious if others have gone through this process and how long it took? My manager thinks it will take me 10 min per I-9 to which I let him know that’s not likely and it really depends on the errors…
