I am looking to get out of the retail automotive sales business and perhaps find something related, like automotive software suppler position. I have been a BDC Director and Manager and have 10+ years of experience training BD agents on process and software applications in the industry. I can't seem to get any traction with the vendors. Are there other industries that might want an experienced automotive sales manager/BDC manager? I am in South Florida, but I am wiling to relocate.

I received my first individual referral fee for referring a case (referral fee is to me as an individual, not to a firm). Do I need to report and/or pay taxes on it?
