Do you have any experience in sales? If not, that's a good place to start. Also, networking is always a good idea.
Look at the shelves that are selling products at your store currently, so many pharma companies. Pick out companies that fit your moral compass. I’m sure it’s not easy to get into and from what over heard very demanding. But networking and building a name for yourself is probably the best way to get an in.
Firstly question yourself and understand why you want to get into sales - fundamentals are the most important
I worked as a bartender for years and I love talking to people and upselling anything in the restaurant. I had an interview with a pharma company where I went through 5 rounds of interviews but did not land the job. I loved interviewing and selling myself to the managers. It felt like something I would be truly happy doing and be passionate about
With a bio/chem degree you can also look into clinical specialist for big medical device companies like J&J, Medtronic, etc… and you don’t have the pressure of meeting quota
