I am meeting a client tomorrow for the first time in person. I had a secondment with them last year. It’s tomorrow/Friday. I’m in ATL. What’s the dress code?

I would go business casual. A dress or pants w/ nice blouse—either way, maybe with a blazer to push a hair above the “casual” part of business casual. You can take it off if the situation warrants.

like

What kind of company is it?

I'd probably go with a dress and jacket since it's the most amorphous in terms of formality. Preferably in something other than black.

In my wardrobe I'd probably wear a white drapey blazer over a peach sheath dress with pointy toed flats.

like

You can probably go a little funkier/ more casual then.

I would wear pants, comfy heals, a pretty top and a blazer.
Then I could take my blazer off if I felt like it. And the pants could put me in sports mode if we were standing at the bar so I wouldn’t have to sweat in a skirt.

Do you personally care how other people look like on camera? Obviously not talking big client meetings, but just day to day. I’m starting a new job soon, and thinking how much effort I should put into my face and tops lol At my current agency I got pretty comfortable with hoodies and just concealer to cover my dark circles.

Hii guys,

Need some suggestions on ORMB vs Ebs/Fusion profile.
Currently I am on an ORMB project, but I feel this tool is niche and have limited career progression. I got EBS/ Fusion opportunity in another organization but the hike is very minimal. Should I make the switch into EBS/Fusion profile?
Can someone please guide on this.

Account manager, San Fran - salaries?

I love my job and the people I work with, but there’s one thing that really bothers me: the lack of diversity. Sometimes when I walk into the office and see everyone else around me as the only POC, it feels kind of weird. I don’t think anyone here has ever said anything racist or sexist to me personally, but I don’t feel comfortable talking about these issues with anyone because they might take it personally and then things could get awkward between us.

My younger brother (formerly estranged to me) reached out to reconcile. Fast forward, and he’s asked me to be his best man. My wife is pissed because my family have not been great to her recently, and me being the BM means we have to go to the wedding and she may have to sit alone with people she (rightly) hates. How do I fix this? Am I fucked no matter what I pick?

Have a true IIED case (negligent handling of corpse). Defendants defaulted and I am now considering the best course forward to get my client the best recovery. The easy route would be Default Judgment, but my concern is a judge may not be willing to make the type of award we are seeking. Alternatively could set the matter for trial only on damages since all allegations are admitted. Thoughts on best way to convince a judge to make a 7+ figure award in a Default Judgment?

I was fired last month after a short time at the company. I knew things weren't going well- it was a terrible culture fit & I was also planning my exit strategy. They wouldn't give me specific reasons other than to vaguely say it was performance related. I agree I made a few dumb mistakes (none of any dire consequence) but what kills me is that I tried really hard. I don't want to change careers but I have a deep seeded fear that no matter how hard I try, I will never be a "good attorney".
