Listen to a few recent episodes of Epstein Becker green’s employment law podcast. Then just memorize employment law basics (definition of reasonable accommodation, elements of your state’s whistleblower law, federal and state law protected categories, restricted covenant basics, etc.). Nail down the basic elements enough that you could regurgitate them while a partner is talking about facts of a case so that you can look like you’re adding value to a conversation. Most important is to pay extra careful attention to, memorize, and reiterate what your new partners say.
