Which practice are you in? I’m joining in a few weeks but come from a technical background. I’m happy to help in any way I can. Feel free to DM me.

I am working in Healthcare projects.

I have a PhD in STEM from a top university and also felt very insecure at first. First, realize that you not knowing what’s going on has nothing to do with intelligence but instead with learning to do things the consulting way. Secondly, ask for help. And finally, learn how to ramp up quickly. Write down any terminology you don’t know and Google later. You’ll be fine in a couple of weeks. Good luck!

Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad

Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.

As someone who has only worked at EY and has no other work experience or “passion,” how do I begin looking? I’m a high performer in CA with a cpa and working in tax but I don’t feel like I have enough time for myself with all the extra work from people leaving during the never ending busy seasons. I’m in my mid twenties and feel like work is my life. I think I’ll be satisfied with six figures for a while, which I’d be pretty close to after my raise in October anyways, and 40 hour work weeks.
