I am new to healthcare consulting. Does anyone have advice on building relationships with clients? I am so used to having my head down and working. Now, I am in charge of managing client relationships.

Any subcontractors here? I feel like I'm living a double life and having to eat my own time to meet the current project and plan for the next. Then when I bring it up to the lead, I feel micromanaged

The wealthy partner also pays for many vacations including the children of both partners. The wealthy partner also pays for expensive car repairs and college tuition for the children of the less wealthy partner. Then, the couple breaks up. Does the wealthy partner have rights to reimbursement? They never married.

I have a governmental entity client in Texas that wants to offer 6 weeks of paid parental leave for all employees, even those who aren’t eligible for FMLA. After the paid 6 weeks, the employee can choose to continue paid leave using any accrued personal leave.

Texas does not have a paid parental leave statute.

If paid leave above what is required is offered for parents, do we also have to provide the same benefit to other employees that are eligible for unpaid leave?

I believe it’s sometimes possible to retain the original priority date despite changing jobs. Barring regulation change, I also have a never ending wait for my priority date to become current.
