I have resigned from IBM with in a year , received joining bonus , which I have to payback according to my offer letter if leaving IBM within a year, but my last working day will fall completing 1 year, while my resignation date is definitely before completion of year.
Do, I have to payback the joining bonus?
I will negotiate with my future employer for this.
Thanks in advance.IBM

Hi Fishes, I am considering a Senior Engineer role with Alteryx (previously Hyper Anna) Sydney. If it's not too much trouble, I was hoping if anyone here could share their experience of working at Alteryx Sydney in terms of Culture, work life balance, politics, work pressure, people, Leadership and product. Thanks.
Hello,
I have an accepted offer from Amazon with start date early next month. With the hiring freeze in place I am worried that layoffs will be next and new hires are more at risk when it comes to layoffs. This is making me wonder if it is good time to switch. Would really appreciate some input in this matter.
Just keep interviewing until you get a job with a higher salary. Unless you’re burnt out no point in taking a pay cut if you don’t have to.
Unless you have other challenges (immigration, new house, baby on the way etc.) I would take DS1’s advice and keep chugging along while applying/interviewing in parallel.
I was in this zone last week and gave up the lower sal. As advised it is not worth taking a sal cut and moving, recession is real and no matter what all companies would face it. So if someone says their job is stable is not true the whole market is struggling to make numbers. Keep trying until you get a higher sal or same.
In a similar situation and am tempted to take the lower paying job. The main reason is that is a union position at a university. Won't work on cutting edge tech but job security in the next 1-2 years would be worth something.

I agree with the others with the caveat that you need to consider how likely it is you will be laid off. For example, I worked at one company who did a round of layoffs and then gave raises to everyone they kept. And, another company who had frequent layoffs, without any clear pattern on who was selected, so no one knew when the next layoff would be or if they would be let go.
You also need to consider the impact "massive layoffs" have on the morale and culture of the company.
Keep interviewing.
I suggest you keep the applications going, you may find a better fit(higher salary).
