Can we negotiate the variable pay post joining the HCL. They have given me 10% annual variable pay but post joining I came to know in HCL there is 5% monthly engagement bonus and 5% yearly variable.

Is anyone else upset by how much we lose from our paychecks to taxes?? I calculated it out and it’s like 20% of mine. Why give people stimulus checks when you could just have everyone pay less in taxes.

- 40% to savings and investments
- 20% student loan payments
- 2% money home to parents

Wipro has offered me 18 lacs CTC out of which 1.8 lacs is listed as variable pay.

The HR guy told me that full variable amount is being paid to employees (its not performance linked) and it gets disbursed on a quarterly basis.

Is this true? Seems unlikely to me and I thinking ge is straight up lying. Can anyone pls confirm?
