I am on my H1B (fifth year now) and my perm is being processed. GC will be under EB2 category. What is the earliest I can safely change my job 🤩🤩 . I485 is a long way to go, what are the risks involved in changing jobs with i140. The last two companies I interviewed with, could not proceed because H1B is only valid early 2023 (very short window for GC).

I interviewed in HSBC 45 days ago and cleared first round technical interview. Now for second round that is managerial round HR is telling that code is closed it will open after 25th dec. And 27th is my last working day

I’ve had three interviews for an internal position over a period of about 6 weeks The last was over a week ago. And I can’t get the HR rep to even return an email or a TEAMS chat as to a ballpark when a decision may be made. VERY frustrating. Even just a “we will be making a decision soon”. Or whatever would be nice. I feel disrespected.

I have an interview next week and want to vet the new law firm with questions to determine if there’s a good work-life balance, respect for how work is delegated (i.e., attorneys are not routinely asked to do obvious paralegal work), and what overall systems/structures are in place to make it a functional/successful environment. What sorts of questions do you think would get this info and also cut through the usual bs of “we’re a family here” when in reality no one talks to each other?
