Enjoy it while you can. It takes time to get integrated and new acquisitions tend to fly under the radar for a bit. There is a 0% chance of being laid off just for being on the bench. You’ll be drinking from the firehose soon enough. Do you have MC chops? I’m assuming you are from ToD
You can connect with resource management as well to help get staffed quicker. Your manager should be helping with that because it impacts their metrics as well.
It’s hard not being a decision maker and sitting duck. I’m used to be in charge of the team and sales this feels like a demotion. It’s hard to enjoy like everyone says. If I atleast had visibility into the pipeline I’d feel better but it’s not transparent as people claim.
I had the exact same experience, when I joined ProServe sales wasn’t comped on selling services and generally blocked the CSG co-primes from entering deals. The pipe is very slow until Q4 and then there will be a lot of envelope stuffing to reach quota, plugging in services that the customer may not be staffed or all in on executing. If you want a true consulting role, I’m not sure that will materialize at Salesforce. Services are dilutive to our margin, and we’re woefully bad at outcomes based engagements. Get some implementation experience here then pivot to one of our ProServe partners.
