If you are confident of your skills then you should go for it...U ll get a job in no time. If u on the other hand is not sure of ur skills... Then I would suggest wait and atleast get an offer in some similar companies...like Accenture or wipro.... They don't bother much about notice period. Also, just because u resign from infy doesn't mean ur workload will be less...some managers increase ur work load during notice period... Just like I'm suffering.

like

@deloitte 1 I agree we are employer of the firm till our LWD, but we are paid for 8 hours, if Managers are trying to give more work, i would suggest do as much you can for 8 hours and don’t stretch it during your notice period.

I would say... Before resigning without an offer.. Do this experiment - Update your Naukri profile & set your NP to 1 month. You will get calls from multiple companies obviously. Just get an offer letter from any good company. If this doesn't work then project yourself as a non working professional & try to get a job. If you succeed then it mns u r ready for switch & you can confidently search for next job during yr actual NP. P. S - Without checking yr potential, don't resign. First work on yourself & get prepared for new job.

I also followed the same mantra!!

Yes bro, current situation is in our favor, dnt worry, put papers and start searching, I can help and support you in cracking interviews, if needed, if you are not able to clear any interviews even after 35-40 days. Bro take the step, if you believe you can do it. You might feel a bit scared in first week, but dont worry, fortune favors the brave.

like

Sure bro

Get atleast 1 offer and then resign, whats your skillset and Yoe?

like

Getting atleast 1 offer is a great idea. And service notice give a great advantage in terms of getting calls. Also Infosys will try to retain then you ask for development projects and 45% hike which they will give

Hi bro.. my suggestion would be to get an offer from some IT giant like TCS Infosys etc for a very minimal hike and then resign. During NP give as much interviews as you wish and get a good rise

like

Yes you can do it. Go for it. I did it in April , worked well

like

Same here I'm in NP , had no offers and resigned but now have 3 offers and still one month remaining

like

Don't quit without an offer. I can refer u to Deloitte.

like

1 bird in hand is better than 2 in bush Rest you are smart enough to take discussion...

like

Yes Go for it! I did it in March by leaving TCS and I couldn't be in a better place...

like

Also as currently hiring is going on at a huge level everywhere so you should take the leap.

like

Bohot amir ho kya? You do not have near and dear ones to look after? Or you are over confident?

like

Utilize all your leaves to run out of your frustation.. And then start studying and look for another switch. Even if u get one switch which is not very good though, u can put down ur papers.. On top of that, u can start actively for searching. The best job offers are achieved when u r service notice period All the best

like

I have done that due to long notice period, no one is intersted because of that, so I took this risk because of high demand of my skill(power bi) right now in the market and lot of calls are there now days for my skill that is why I took this risk, so if have confidence in you and your skill demand outside then go for it, try hard and attend as many as interviews, all the best

like

Get an offer and then apply. Although, it also depends on how confident you are on your ability to secure one. If you think it should be easy, just put in your papers 😋

like

first you need to know this three points. 1.financial condition 2.offers in hand 3.harassment in current company if you are in any condition then you are able to take this decision.

likefunny

I alwys do the same I take a 30 days break between next job, for me its always a good decision Take a break prepare and then go for a new offer

like

You should, With timelines we achieve things. Without timeline we just try to get things done by a specific time if not achieved we compromise the timeline. Here timeline can't be compromised. Just FYI, in the same boat. It's just that I have taken the step already without seeking validations. 🥂

likeuplifting

Just resign and prepare for the interview.. rest will be history..

uplifting

Yes definitely go for it. I have done the same thing and I'm actively hunting for jobs right now. Check whether your company allows you to take back your resignation within the notice period, so you don't have to worry even if you don't get an offer outside. That said, the job market is in your favour for now, so go ahead and look for better opportunities

Today I had a 4th round interview and gave a 10 min presentation for a position I really want. I honestly love everything about this position and is my dream job. I thought it went really well & she seemed very positive. She said she would follow up with the ceo (who I already met with) and let me know about next steps. I was originally told there would be 5 rounds and with every other round I’ve known next steps before I left the interview. This time I had to wait. Is this a good or a bad sign?
