This would significantly affect your racial demographics in hiring, so it could be construed as racist.

People like to be told exactly what to do in 5 minute increments or else they get extremely mad. They also want a facilitator to guide them.

How about we make a requirement to be <20% body fat as we’ve seen obesity to be the #1 factor across COVID deaths?
Good.
I’m vaccinated and pro vax but reading a job req like that would piss me off.
I’m vaccinated also and applied for a job and they asked. It’s too personal
I propose you don't make anymore proposals to leadership.
OP - Is there an email floating out there? I’d love to see it. I’m ACN as well.

It would affect it positively. Less morons in the hiring pool.
Nope, you don’t get to do that. You are speaking out of turn. They are vaccine hesitant with concerns and historical reasons for this;

The more i see OP respond the more problematic they seem.
Came here to say this.
Read the thread and OPs dialogue is mind-numbing
So you do realize people who work for the WHO, Johnson and Johnson, mederma, the White House, the cdc isn’t requiring vaccines?
This is absolutely disheartening and shows your bias towards those who can’t or choose not to be vaccinated for personal or religious reasons.
This will effect talent acquisition negatively and people will go elsewhere. It is a job seekers market!
I don't think you understand the concept of super spreader?
Great idea we can then multiply our talent shortage!

Well there is going to be an expectation soon for all to be vaccinated anyway. Just waiting for others to take the lead
What a time to be alive
🤮
This is discrimination, plain and simple. If you can’t discriminate based on someone’s Health status, age, disability, gender, etc. then vaccination status shouldn’t be a factor
The Supreme Court ruled on this in 1905. They just ruled again for Indiana university. These arguments have been made and have lost. It’s now a question about whether individuals want to remain employed—or alive.
I self identify as a vaccinated person. Anyone asking for a vaccine passport is violating my human rights as a self-identified fully vaccinated human. Does that work?
Love this

I require an oath of loyalty as well.
We just have non-competes.
Problematic. I’d definitely pass on applying.
Awesome! Please don’t!
You dont know the reason why people arent vaccinated. And to know why could mean disclosure of health issues that you should not know.
I work with people that have had covid twice from delta and the initial strain. They would have antibodies better than the vaccines. Why should they be forced to take an uneeded vaccine? Honest question...
Less than 30% of the black community, 40% of the Latin, and less than 28% of the Asian population in the US are vaccinated. From a diversity perspective, requiring a vaccine when these three groups don’t trust it would severely hinder our D&I goals Julie Sweet set forth starting in FY21.
If you feel like this is a good move, maybe you should go to another consulting firm that aligns with your views on vaccines. Just because you want this doesn’t mean it will happen.
This is more than just science on the vaccine, this is a war on country, jobs, etc.
I am going to pose a question you may not like: if you want this mandated, then are you okay with government ruling every part of your life like in other countries? Do you want kids being taken away from their parents because they have cancer (happened to my friend in the UK)? You have to understand this is bigger than the vaccine, it is about rights and how much people are willing to let the government control their lives, opinions, and decisions.
Deloitte is not mandated -- not everyone is expected to go back to the office
Good luck explaining that to Business Insider
Pro: applicants are more likely to be team players, not to mention have 1 less serious health issue to worry about.
Con: controversial requirement. In theory, of an employer like the Army or McDonalds or Google can mandate vaccines, then using that as a hiring screen might be ok, but it is politically touchy.
Mixed bag: might activate some customers, and turn off others. Those who are in more liberal industries/places or who want travel to return might like it. Those in more conservative industries/places might not.
Verdict: propose it and see what happens. You won't get fired for such a proposal. You might even win brownie points for doing an opportunity assessment as a firmbuilding activity. Worst case, you get told "thanks for the idea, we will think about it" and things end there.
Why? What's the point of that? Drop it. If you are vaccinated why to you care? Even the people at CDC acknowledge that vaccinated people do not significantly spread less than unvaccinated people. If some unvaccinated person gets covid that's their problem. So, this becomes primarily a problem of unvaccinated people giving the virus to each other. I had covid, I got the Pfizer shots. I am don't care if people are not vaccinated or don't wear the face diaper.
Sorry MD1, your life situation being different is not a valid argument (sarcasm)
Negatively affect hiring and potentially cause "adverse impact" in hiring. Minorities are far and away the least vaccinated therefore if you put a vaccine requirement into the requisition you will immediately eliminate a huge percentage of the population from even being considered.
Also, a large percentage of un-vaccinated people are those who have recovered from C-19. These are the safest workers Accenture has (based on studies from Israel, Cleveland Clinic and others) yet the company does not accept recovery from Covid as a valid exemption to the vaccine mandate.
So if your goal is to reduce potential candidates from the hiring pool, then by all means require vaccination but if you would prefer to judge each candidate as the unique individual that they are, then do not put discriminatory requirements into requisitions.
Very well said
