Any reviews for Slalom as a consulting firm from following points 1) Work Culture 2) Compensation 3) Benefits 4) Flexibility
Apologies if this is a silly question - New analyst here and trying to get a handle on my finances and retirement portfolio. I’m familiar with the rough sequence of saving being: 3-6 months HYSA, Company match 401k, Roth IRA, HSA, 401k max, personal brokerage (Pls correct me if i’m incorrect here). My question is: Are you expected to invest as much money as you can into each step before proceeding to the next, or do you allocate a portion of your paycheck to each of these steps simultaneously?
I have 6 months worth of expenses in my bank account, I max out a 401k and IRA, and I still have a little bit left over after expenses. Only debt I have left is mortgage, should I put the extra I have towards my mortgage or keep saving it?
Hey guys, Can anyone clear a doubt.. On Solveit,i saw the link for WFH reimbursement and there its mentioned that this program officially ended on 31 oct..New hires who joined after 31 oct can't claim this. Anyone claimed this who joined in November?

I am joining EY at rank 42 . What relocation reimbursement cap can I expect as nothing is explicitly mentioned in the offer letter. Also, my previous firm is making me pay back the retention bonus and also recovering the certification cost since I am leaving with an year of certifications. Will any of this amount be covered under notice pay reimbursement ?
Trying to determine if I’m off-base: 9ish yrs of exp (7 + 2 post MBA). Focus in healthcare strat and org change/transformation — when folks call I’ve been asking for $175K base but the roles have topped out at $150K base. These are director level roles in industry and health tech. Is $175K too high? I’m currently at a T2 strat firm…
I wanted to get your opinions on an offer I’m going to receive from EY working in their climate change practice as senior consultant. My background: working in EHS for 6.5 years, currently in insurance as a consultant. Current salary: 90k and standard benefits including 401k and company car (used for personal travel also). EY offer: 95k plus 10k signing bonus as senior 1 consultant. I told the recruiter that I make a similar salary and other benefits and that I want higher offer. Thoughts?
I have an offer to become a season ticket holder for the 76ers. These tickets are floor seats. They’re quite expensive but they come with great benefits. These seats include unlimited food and alcohol. I’ve been trying to get a hold on these for a couple years and some just came available. If anybody’s interested I’m looking for a partner. Thanks!

I’m a third year tax associate with my LLM. I left the IRS for a small boutique M&A firm that had a great reputation in my region. I have been at the firm for 3 weeks and I just found out that 2 of the 4 partners are leaving and taking a bunch of the senior associates with them. The only tax partner is leaving to go in-house and semi retire. I am going to be the only tax associate at the firm. So what’s the play here, look for a way out as fast as possible or ride it out for the time being?
Curious to know what the culture/work environment is like at SVB Leerink, specifically for the new Tech IB team. I am also curious about the benefits offered: Do they pay for gym memberships? Do they pay for your phone bill or do they issue a company phone to analysts?
I just got a job offer for around 360K TC. I have about 160K cash, 500k stock, 100k in 401k. I grew up poor, and I’ve never made a big purchase in my life and considering buying a Porsche 718, C43AMG, or Corvette C8. Genuine question - does it make sense or can I afford to buy 60-70K car? (M, 30)
Up for a corporate development role at a global brand. Is this all M&A DD? Could someone provide the lay of the land? Scared I’ll get chewed out by IB interviewers.

Hi All, Say you have an offer for Senior Test Engineer and SDET (not senior). Compensation is same. Both the companies are good. Given the narrowing boundaries between testing and dev, which position is better in the long run? I thought it'd be SDET. But, I'd like to have expert/experienced opinion.
Thoughts on Zoom job interview dress code? My instinct is a tailored dress or nice blouse. I feel like a blazer could come off as too formal but curious to know your thoughts/if anyone here has experience. Thanks in advance!

Chances for HBS/GSB? URM, 3.8 engineering from large state school, 720 GMAT, will have 3 YOE in consulting and on track for manager promotion by the time of applying. I’d say ECs are ok, but recommendations are strong. Already took gmat twice and don’t think i can feasible raise my score to match the school averages.

How do top consultants create really good visuals or dashboards without being exceptionally talented with data cleaning, manipulation, and visualization software such as power BI or tableau. Always hear that MBB consultants don’t have to be technically savvy (e.g. alterx, tableau, etc) but don’t get how you create insights without being great with data.
