Thoughts on considering/accepting counteroffers from current firm that you are leaving? I feel as if I will always have a target on my back and a reactive versus proactive positioning from the current firm says a lot as I had been asking for a switch for a little while. Anyone accept or even just have thoughts on considering a counter (given it would be same salary and similar position to outside offer).

I gave interview in Cognizant today. HR have not share JD. After joining interview I got to know about Job profile it was for DevOps Engineer and I was not aware of it. The interviewer asked me questions related to Py, Django, svn, git. (Questions were project centric like how u have developed tool -logic). And finally said I should start preparing for basic DevOps concept. (mentioned 2 times)
What should I expect as result?
