Received Inclined outcome for loop at Amazon, however downgraded from L6 TPM to L5 TPM. I don't as much care about the level, but my TC expectations are around 275-300k. Anyone with experience in this know if they will be able to get to that number for L5 TPM? 11.5 YoE and a Master's Degree.
Thanks in advance!
Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.

It's safe to say that some recruiters are not the right advocates for you.
I had one recruiter tell me my experience was only worth 125k.
I recently got an offer for 180k. Big difference!
I'd say to either apply directly if you have the time and resources or be choosy about the next recruiter you let represent you.
👏👏👏
Good for you! I think you did the right thing. I got a bad feeling from it just from your post so I think you dodged a bullet.
And I agree--don't sell yourself short. I didn't get the 180k offer until 17 interviews and 3 months later. It was exhausting but worth it
Pt2- which is fine and I thanked her for calling me and being honest. A week later, calls me and says a higher level position that met my requirements ($100k minimum salary and remote) was open and she wanted to set an interview up. I agreed. Went through a 45 minute interview only to find out the MAX budget for the role is 80K and they'd want me in the office at minimum 3 days per week. I am so irritated, the hiring manager had no clue and thought I knew that before talking to her as she said she "knew" the recruiter discloses this info before setting any interviews. Such a waste if time and made me never want to interview for the company again
