What is your school doing to protect teachers from covid? F2F all year with up to 25 students in a small classroom and teacher and student cases climbing in my building. I feel very vulnerable.
Any ideas that people have on how to network/break into circles of tech startups? Long story short, joined a tech Fortune 500 company a little over a year ago as an entry level analyst and things have gone downhill with COVID (limited growth here but got exposure). Looking to start new with a startup as I grew tired of the ethics of a larger corp. I have no network as it stands in tech startups, don't come from a target school (although I graduated with honors) and at a loss of where to start.
Hypothetical situation - if your client is a health provider and you get an email from the CEO that says all health workers can get the vaccine. But you know that you will never see a patient and work from home at a computer. Do you get the vaccine by using your client ID or wait for the general public rollout?

What type of self help strategies do individuals actually find helpful when you feel burn out or stuck in a rut? Any books, apps, meditation, podcasts, etc, others find helpful? I've done therapy and it has definitely helped this past year with covid and a marriage separation, starting to feel like I'm making progress and want to keep up the momentum. Looking to see what type of self help others find actually beneficial and would love to use that to help others stuck in burn out too
Donald Trump is the literal representation of a clueless consultant trying to BS his way through client presentation for which he knows nothing about.
Snapped this yesterday while walking my dog, a relaxing moment in weeks full of agnst while on the bench. Phone camera doesn't do it justice.
Probably my first serious "I can't do this anymore" day. Micromanaged to death and feel like an excel monkey. No ownership on any part of the project, my manager presents everything to the client
We want to go to Thailand with our 1 year old in Nov; however, we have been told we are crazy multiple times. We would hire nannies once there, but obviously it’s a bit scary with COVID (though when we mentioned the trip to our pediatrician, he seemed more concerned about the 20+ hour travel time. We are flying business, if that helps). Could anyone provide perspective on how you might consider whether to cancel? Should we do something else (e.g. Europe, Mexico, etc.). The trip is 2+ weeks long
Are consultants only seemingly more capable (at times) because we dedicate all our client-facing time on a single project vs. juggling multiple projects? All my client's leadership teams seem like a mess but I think it's just due to their lack of opportunity to focus on anything for long enough to know what's going on. Am I thinking about this completely wrong?
Most engaging webinar/professional session you’ve attended during COVID? Thinking of ways to creatively engage people on a research paper by organization just published. Would love tips on session structure and even tech platform
Confirmed promotion from Project Delivery Specialist to Project Delivery Manager. Any thoughts on what to expect for a raise?
Have you ever seen a deal die because you forgot to note the attached is being circulated to your client simultaneously and as such, remains subject to their ongoing review and comment in all respects?
My utilization has been so low since COVID closed off the offices. Should I be worried? Should I reach out to my relationship/career coach? Change to another group/line of service??

Will effective WFH policies stick at your place, or even in our industry post-coronavirus?
My skin isn't the best and with WFH - I have been doing the basics : moisturiser and sunscreen everyday which has really helped. Next year, I'm likely to be back full time in the office and on client site - and I want to do the bare minimum makeup wise. Can someone provide me your "bare minimum" routines and also - makeup/skincare brands! :)
If you’re at risk of getting laid off, who usually sets up the call? How does the process go?
7.5 weeks pregnant with my third and on the beach - never have I been more thankful for being unstaffed. The tiredness is legit so all encompassing this time around. 😴

ACN 🐠, are you currently having your yearly performance review, and does that impact hiring? I am in the interview process with ACN, had two interviews, both went well based on the feedback I received, was expecting a third meeting, that was more than a week ago, still have not heard back. Was wondering if hiring was put on hold
How’s life at ZS? Looking for a new role. Associate consultant role - can people share experience and compensation?
Have a sales strategy offer from a reputable software company. It pays 15k more than what I make now and remote with monthly travel. Been at Microsoft in client success for less than a year with the chance to transfer to BizOps (70% likely) in the next 6 months or PM (50%, already talked to the manager, and I have a tech background) but no guarantee. I want to do strategy/product and don’t like my current role. Should I stay or go? Current TC is 150k, 2.5 YOE
My 2 year old is a sensitive little guy and often cries at daycare drop off. Today, as I turned to leave, I saw his little face crying “mama” through the door of his classroom 😭 now I’m sobbing too...
Befor Covid, were any of you working moms who had to travel? I’m in audit and I’m so nervous about having kids and having to spend the night away from them when they are little.

Can anyone share ideas for names for an employee engagement survey? We are stuck. Tech company fwiw. Thanks!
My husband never reads and wants to start reading as a new hobby. What is a good book that you would recommend for a 40 year old man? Not self help books, but maybe something with action. I think he would like the Bourne series, but he saw all the movies so he's not interested, but something similar.
I want to do strategy consulting on the side and serve prior clients (and net new clients) directly. How do you all think about pricing (and how much)? Hourly rate? By project? Something in between? One-man shop.

Anyone have good NON-FICTION recommendations? Enjoy self-help and psychology books (as long as they’re not overly pedantic). Already read grit, outliers, atomic habits, running (haruki murakami)
