Is it the work or the people? I’d say stick it out. You will have good projects and bad projects through the years. Interesting work and boring work. Great and awful people. If it’s the work maybe consider switching groups?
OP, I’m in similar position (also booz) and am trying to switch projects now. I’d talk with your CM, reach out to your internal network (reconnect with some people you had “coffee chats” with, people on your admin team, etc), maybe even ask your SA to keep an eye open. If you can be specific about what you want that obviously helps. Is it the project itself or the type of work/skills involved?
I really don’t know how your structure works but at Deloitte we have counselors who are responsible for making sure we are happy and productive in our projects. Do you have a resource like that who could help you find a way off? It becomes very political in long term projects like that and their guidance (and leverage) are normally key.
Hi yes we do but he’s adamant that I stay. Even tried bribing me with potential promotion
