I would talk to a reproductive endocrinologist about this. Also, I would start trying on the sooner part of your timeline rather than the later (37 can be too late for some people and even 35 is the age where statistically your eggs decline and it gets harder).

Hi! Fellow endo here - I agree to with SA1. Chat with an RE first to talk through options, get some tests done etc. (eg, AMH). Sometimes a larascopy is successful (I have multiple friends who have done that), but in some cases it can decrease your egg reserve - I was worried about that risk decided to move forward w IVF before larascopy (which was successful). Certain things like Lupron can also help to reduce the inflammation from endo too. Worth chatting with an RE to be informed before a decision either way! Good luck 🍀
Thanks!
Stage 2 endo diagnosed via laparoscopy surgery this year. I worked with a NaPro doctor who’s goal is to preserve fertility during surgery. Excision is the gold standard, vs ablation, which is prone to grow back. Definitely work with a endo expert, not a doc who will just do the surgery. Check out Nancy’s Nook for surgeons of NaPro isn’t your jam. I put off surgery for 2 years, and after I did it, wished I had done it sooner.
Cont - since it tends to come back, should I wait to do the laparoscopy right before I want to have kids and have an IUD until then? Or is it better to know now and plan ahead even if I am not planning to have kids at this moment? Also, what was your experience?
IUD made my endo worse. 3 laproscopic excision before hysterectomy. I was very young when I did it but honestly I don't regret the decision it gave me my life back.
