I am thinking about quitting my full time job and becoming a digital nomad. I currently live in the US. My plan is find remote projects or short term gigs outside of the US for the American companies and getting paid in Dollars (I'm non US citizen if it makes any difference). How realistic this plan is for data and analytics related projects? What kind of tools I should be focusing on in your opinion? I am currently a BI consult and self studying towards data science.

Pretty realistic and something I’ve considered in the past (prior to wife and kid). You can also look for jobs via sites like Catalant.

I’d look at working with private equity as well. They are pretty much tech illiterate and always hiring outside contractors.

Very realistic, great plan. Tableau is the future, focus there.

U.S. Bank

I recently got a fully remote offer from US Bank and need help understanding it/ my leverage. I plan on moving to a HCOL city.

Base 135
15% bonus
Long Term Incentive 7
TC ~160k
4YOE

Few questions I had:

1. How many rounds of negotiation can I expect? I had my first call with the hiring manager last week and he wants to wrap things up this coming week.

2. I’m guessing I’m under the 14 grade. Anyone have the range for a HCOL city?

3. What other benefits should I discuss?

Little contact with partners or anyone at my firm.

UBS & BNY --- Work from office ( 3 days WFO & 2 WFH ) started.

What about you? comment your company name -- wfo-X & wfh-Y started/starting from MMM-YYYY

Everytime I reject a company, as an excuse I tell them that I got a WFH opportunity, so that when my other friends apply after me, they get WFH.

Few weeks later I got to know that 2 of the companies that I rejected, transitioned to permanent WFH model as they are not getting candidates, and my friend got the job without having to change cities.

Never felt more prouder! Lol!

Hi everyone! I have been in my current role as an EA at a financial institution for about a year and a half now. I would love to find a 100% remote role as a mid level EA at a company with an awesome work culture. I think I’m ready to be challenged again, I find myself bored in my current role… I’m open to any industry but would love to get into tech. If anyone knows of any openings I would really appreciate it! I’m located on the East coast currently. TIA
