1. Pick the top 2-3 companies from every good sector - IT, FMCG, Pharma, Chemicals, etc. and you will be good to go for the long term.
2. Then pick 1 good mid-cap/ smallcap company or a niche business company from each sector but keep allocation low.
3. Rest keep it in index funds to balance your risk as well.
Doing this for long term, keep buying the same stocks on dips and you will be good to go for long term.
