I am trying to get a job with the following companies: ensemble health, medovent, conifer. Any suggestions or know of anyone I can work with to get my foot in the door?
Does anyone know where I can obtain a commercial lines only and workers comp only license? I am licensed in life, accident and health currently and I work in group benefits. I would like to add the commercial lines and or Worker’s Comp. to my repertoire, and I do not wish to take the P&C licensing test.
Insurance just denied me coverage for my next round of IVF. No questions here, just needed to say this to a group of people more likely to understand.
Not a student… yet, but hope you can help. I’m in healthcare administration (executive assistant) and want a career change, moving into nursing. It looks like LVN is the fastest path (12-month program at my local community college), then continue education for a BSN while working as an LVN. I’m a single parent of a young child so I’m trying to minimize the time I won’t be able to work full time due to school and also ensure I’ll have a livable wage upon completion. Thank you in advance!
Looking for feedback from the group about the benefits of using an exercise ball as a chair vs transitioning to a standing desk. Costs are an obvious factor in favor of an exercise ball but curious if anyone has seen any health benefits using either. Thanks
I work in accounting for an insurance brokerage firm. I put in my 2 weeks notice today and was told by my manager that they may ask me to not work the next 2 weeks (with pay) since I’m going to a competitor. Has anyone ever experienced this? Is this the norm?
Put my notice in. Realized our benefits, including health, end on the day of separation. What are some other things to look into or do before last day?
Curious what you all think of this line from Health and Human Services. Regardless of what you think about the vaccine itself, is the "viral" reference clever or tone-deaf considering how bizarre this whole virus/vaccine situation has been? I’m personally rolling my eyes, but maybe I’m thinking too far into it lol.
I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.
Hi everyone! Looking to transition out of bedside/hospital healthcare and into clinical research. Does anyone have any advice, willing to be a referral, etc.?
Hello! I've recently relocated to India from the US. I have an MPH with 4 years of mixed experience in healthcare consulting, USAID project management and pharma supply chain management. Are you aware of any consulting vacancies for healthcare professionals in India? Please comment if you're hiring or if you'd be open to being a referral.
The importance of public health infrastructure, a living wage and universal health coverage could not be more apparent
Any healthcare consultants here that transitioned from clinical roles? I’m in the middle of interviewing for an analyst position in HC for Huron. I have 6 YOE as an OT in the hospital settings and also experience as a rehab coordinator.
Have you felt the switch was a good pivot for your career? I’m excited about the potential to join the consulting/business world but wondering what it’ll be like to switch to a entry level role. Would love input from others in the consulting world as well!
Has anyone had any experience with the population health director GM program at Oak Street? How does it compare vs Davita’s GM program?

What is your ultimate career or salary goal in this field? Do you feel that it is feasible? I'm starting to have second thoughts about being in healthcare.
Hey folks, what is the average salary of Senior Manager and GM/AVP in General Insurance sector as per market standards?
My therapist of 3+ years just told me that she’s going to stop taking insurance starting in January and her new rate will be $160 per session (right now I pay $45 for our weekly sessions). My insurance will not cover any of it.
I’m panicking. I struggle with depression and anxiety and my weekly sessions are what keeps me going (and meds!). I also love my therapist and she knows everything about me. I don’t want to start over but I also don’t know if I can afford $160 per session… what do I do?
Our firm has a flexible work from home policy for attorneys only. I’m in a small office and I feel guilty working from home when our paralegals cannot. One of our paralegals started just before the pandemic and feels entitled to work from home to the point where she threatens to leave over it. I don’t agree with the policy being 100% limited to attorneys but I want to work from home!
So I’m on a milk donation group because donor moms (love them!) have helped with milk for my baby. Of late I see a lot of posts as below - def okay with personal preference of the donor meds and vaccines but each person spells it out differently like “no c v*x” etc. is this a thing? I feel like they’re addressing lord Voldemort

Does anyone use the monthly serv list subscriptions that usually run a few hundred dollars per category to get new cases or clients. I get contacted everyday and we did one once which turned out to be a nightmare on PI cases. I am interested in estate planning and probate or business law. Thoughts? Happy new year!
This might sound weird but if you’re in my shoes of not suicidal but I was not doing great at random hours, I realize this is a good resource to talk to: https://screening.mhanational.org/content/need-talk-someone-warmlines/?layout=actions_neutral
HR question. When switching companies and the new company has a 30 day waiting period before health insurance starts, how do y'all handle insurance coverage? Cobra wouldn't be an option as resigning doesn't qualify.
Thoughts on Taylormade P750 irons? Currently have a set of M4s but looking to swap to player irons. Would appreciate any thoughts.

I am a 17 year seasoned outpatient PT in Tampa FL who is the current head PT for my clinic. I do marketing, admin duties as well as staffing. I haven’t gotten a base hourly salary raise in 8 years! (I do get a percentage of profits but due to Covid, haven’t gotten one in 2 yrs). I do not get 401k, con Ed or health insurance benefits.
Current salary is $85K. I am getting very frustrated that this has not increased even after asking. Thoughts? What to do? What do other seasoned FL PTs make?
Has anyone been a med tech within an organization that union? I know nurses have unions but what are the benefits of a med tech union opportunity?
Hi Fellow Fishies,
I am reaching out because I was recently contacted to interview for Cigna Provider Engagement Development Program. I wanted to see if I could connect with anyone on here that I can help give a breakdown of what this program entails, day-to-day, and WLB. Any tips on the interview and interview process for anyone working in this position? I would be truly grateful for any help or information that can be provided!
Received an email from a recruiter about a confidential search. I’m pretty sure I know what organization as well as the Director of HR and some other contacts. Disclose that to the recruiter or no?
I’m a physician assistant with interests in technology. I’m well versed in epic. I’m looking to leave clinical medicine, what kind of roles are available with epic?
I currently work as a surgical scheduler and would like to explore the data analysis/analytics workforce. Any suggestions on entry level employment in that field? Thanks in advance
I’d like input!
I am currently a charge nurse and am in a “Pathway to Leadership Program” that will come with promotions into leadership/administration. I am concerned that going through the leadership ladder will lead to a lot of politics.
I am thinking of getting a masters of healthcare informatics, and would love input from people in both industries and any advice you have!
Would you continue into the nursing leadership ladder or go into health informatics (which also has leadership!)?
Just received an interview offer for an outpatient position at a hospital and I've interviewed and am still awaiting a decision on the inpatient position. Does that mean that I may have not been selected or that they're unaware I applied for 2 positions? Is that something I should mention or not?
What is the average pay for Dialysis Technicians
Interviewed recently with @VillageMD. Anyone have any insight about the remote Medical assistant positions? Preferably someone who does or did work in that type of position with this company. How was the workload? How much time is usually spent on the phone answering calls?
Hello! anybody here worked in Mt Sinai research in Genetics/clinical trials dept? How’s the workload and the staff? They are looking for RNs to run trials and pay is very high. Any feedback is highly appreciated, thank you!
I’m an LCSW with 7 years experience. Currently working as an EAP consultant for an insurance company from home. The pay is good but I hate being on a call queue and the schedule is SO rigid. As a working mom I’m wondering if there are other options for remote WFH positions in insurance out there that don’t require being in a call queue and having supervisors monitoring every single second of your day? I work so much better when I have time to prioritize my tasks and work at my own pace.
Anyone from Novartis that I can link with?
Macro work ideas for LCSW in Indiana but remote is preferred. I’m looking to gain experience in more of a supervisor/ director role and/or something more on the macro side. Any ideas? Open to part time side gigs as well if remote. I’ve considered getting a MBA in healthcare at some point but not sure if it’s actually worth it or not.
has anyone heard of panoramic health? applying for a job there and I just want to know what the work culture there is like.
Pharma/biotech: does anyone know what the salary range is for manager quality assurance role in South San Francisco area?
Are there any registered pharmacy technicians here that transitioned to hospital pharmacy before obtaining their certification? I'm planning to schedule my test within the next couple months. I've been trying to leave retail and nothing seems to stick. I'm in Florida if that matters.
Long story short, I have a bachelors in Public Health/Health Science, and no idea what to do with it. I currently am contracted with a disabilities agency in the vocational services side of things, working for $20/hr with no benefits. I realize this is a very low paying job, but I do not know the extent of the career options with the degree I have. I’d like to ask, what would be the highest paying/most rewarding career options for me?
