Hi, I have 7.5 years of experience and working as Salesforce developer with 16.5 LPA. I am getting offers around 29LPA from MNC and also similar from Allstate (product based). Coforge/globant/xoriant are ready for around 32. Considering job security what should I choose? Note: IBM refused to retain with this much hike. IBM Tata Consultancy Infosys Accenture Cognizant

Pretty sure everyone not just Americans would be upset. German is objectively a gross language it sounds as unappealing as it's food tastes. Would much rather it be Italian, Japanese, French, Spanish, heck even Welsh and the language has no vowels or Hawaiian and that language has only vowels

Aiea is a city in Hawaii

For that to happen Germany would have to win a world war first…

Just as a follow up: granted it was still America and it’s not entirely possible to know how much German culture would’ve influenced America’s if only the language was adopted but can’t help but wonder.
“It is indeed more in accordance with reality to consider language as a part of culture. Culture is here being used, …, to refer to all aspects of human life insofar as they are determined or conditioned by membership in a society.”
“If language is transmitted as part of culture, it is no less true that culture as a whole is transmitted very largely through language, insofar as it is explicitly taught.”

German is great for opera comedies. The Magic Flute sucks in Italian.

Kind of amazing how many Americans don’t know we were a HEAVILY German speaking nation 100 years ago. There were areas it was the primary language spoken.
It was not a given which side we would join in world war 1.
The language of power (government and trade) in the US was still English though
