I am working as a EPM consultant and qualified ACCA-UK, planning to move UK under work sponsorship program.
I was surprised by how short the maternity leave in the US is compared to almost any other country in the world. Here's China's policy: 98 days mandated by national law and extra 30-60 days cont'd.
Flight delays expected. Farsi and Arabic translators needed at airports. Additional security needed. Such a waste of $$ and strain on resources due to so much lack of foresight. What a cluster.
Hi guys, would kill for a contact at google, if only to pick some brains and learn a few things. Thanks either way
Anyone selling a United GPU? I have a flight tomorrow that’s eligible - willing to pay $200 for the cleared upgrade!
I have 12k Marriott bonvoy points about to expire.
Any recommendations on what would be a good use for them other than putting them towards getting a hotel room?
BCG and Bain 🐠 - do you see alot of experienced hires from other firms joining your ranks without a Masters? Higher chance if referred? Looking to jump...
Sexism is so real in public accounting. It seems that women have to prove we deserve respect while men have to prove they don’t deserve respect.
What if facebook contacts me for a role I did when I was younger but have since transitioned out of with career progression? If I ask to switch roles during 1st interview will they drop me altogether?
My wife and I are looking for a change of scenery now that we both work from home.
For those of you who moved out of town temporarily, how did you find a place? Getting a 1-2 month lease may be too short and renting through Airbnb seems too long. Suggestions?

With the way the proposed child tax credit is written won't it result in millions of families owing April 2022 or having their refund reduced by $2k/child?
Obviously it's better to get the money earlier (and the $1k/$1.6k temporary boost) but non accountants likely won't feel that way after they've already spent the money.
What’s the best way for a passive investor to make the most returns? Is it real estate? Is it diversified funds? Is it crypto?
High positive cash flow and savings. Trying to not spend an overwhelming amount of time constantly doing research and staying on top of “dips” or recognizing opportunities. I envy those that have the time and drive to do that.
I’m currently staff 1 at EY in audit, KPMG advisory and Deloitte audit reached out to me. I previously rejected PWC because of the pay. Would anyone of you make the switch? I’m extremely unhappy at EY not with the work or the culture, it’s just the specific group of people I work with. I asked numerous times not to work with them go on different engagement and was told no. I got good vibes from Deloitte so far but I’m wondering if I should just stick it out at EY.
