I am working with a corporation to create a spinout and run it. The product is developed, with mainly sales and BD that’s now needed. Their current proposal is that they hold ~35%, I hold 10% and we reserve the remainder for VCs investing in the company. Is this a structure that could get funding or is the low founder share (mine) a non-starter for VCs? Based on my initial discussions with some VC firms, I’d say that we won’t be able to successfully raise capital, but I wanted to check here.

I was hired on with a company at the same time as my male coworker. We work the exact position, different projects.
I asked him flat out what his salary was when he hired on. His salary is at minimum 15% more. He’s never had a raise.
Neither one of us had any experience in this specific position but he didn’t even have experience in tech, which I did.
I requested a performance and salary review via email b/c it’s my annual review time anyway. Best way to address this? Also applying elsewhere.

4YOE in consulting got shafted on promo to M with pay. Would you take a 7.5% raise to a startup company with 15% bonus (upwards of 30% for high performers which at Big4 been rated consistently high) plus stock. They mentioned they may have an additional increase start of CY and in process of growing out whole new org so potential to really accelerate into strong leadership roles. Just at point where I feel under appreciated and want to try something new.
