You could go ahead and interview.
Maybe the position is a bad fit for you, but you won’t know if you don’t talk with them.
I started the interview process with Meta. And I learned they were an awful fit for me. I was on interview 2 when I figured this out.
I say go for it. Amazon will likely pay way more than EY.
There's no reason not to continue and see what their proposal is.
It can't hurt to learn more about it, but personally, I'd stay with EY. You're happy there, you've got a good title, and you have no idea what kind of culture you'll end up with at Amazon. But again, that's just me.
You could always reach out and ask what the budget is for that position and see what they tell you.
Update: Amazon hiring manager set up a meeting with me to answer my questions. Asked him the salary range for the position, he said he doesn't disclose salary for positions. That's something I'll have to discuss with the recruiter once they reach out.
So basically, Amazon hiring manager reached out TO ME on LinkedIn. I did not apply for this role. How are you gonna try to poach employees who are already happy elsewhere, but don't even want to disclose salary which would be the ONE thing that would even get someone to consider departing with their existing gig?!
And now I'm supposed to wait for the recruiter to call me and do the talking in an entirely separate meeting/conversation. Wish companies would stop playing games when talent is scarce and you're struggling to fill your positions.
