Hi fishes, I've joined TCS on 9th nov as a 2 YOE .Net developer. Since past week I'm getting project interview calls, I have given 3 till now, not selected in 1 and not sure in other 2. I've followed up with the interviewers about my interview , both said that they have given their feedback to their managers and if there is an requirement I will be called up. I am little worried seeing all the layoffs going on...can my employment be in danger upon failing in project interviews?? Tata Consultancy

I would send a quick thank you for the interview and ask if they have any constructive criticism. If you aren't going to get the job, at least get as much learning experience out of it as possible. Also, by the way, I have taken part in several interview panels for new teachers. Saying someone is "prepared," at least from one of us, would probably be more akin to saying they seemed to have a complete portfolio and, perhaps, are reasonably qualified rather than saying we want you. Honestly, most of the time our interviewees would have a hard time knowing what we were thinking. Try to avoid falling into the trap of dissecting clues. We had one person who we interviewed, but then had to completely disregard because recent schedule changes meant we needed a slightly different certification. Do your best, but keep applying! You will find something great!
There a lot of considerations that should go into picking a candidate. Often times it’s more about a culture and climate fit more so than teaching ability. Education is more about relationships than it is about ABC’s
Being able to find the right fit, however, can be crucial in a school with specific challenges or featured teaching styles. I work in a Montessori school, and far too often we have teachers apply who want to give our students a bunch of worksheets and textbook assignments. I asked one interviewee for an example of an assignment to improve higher order thinking and she told me she used popcorn reading to keep kids on their toes. Not only an outdated method, but her example wasn't really what we were looking for. Obviously, she wasn't a bad teacher- she had taught at a traditional school very successfully and had done very well. She had great references. She was just a poor fit for our school. We hired a teacher with less experience, but a much higher interest in our teaching style. Right fit doesn't always equal nepotism.
Don’t get discouraged. That place just wasn’t right for you. Keep plugging away!
You never know, maybe they have another position open. I’m in a Title I school, and we have lots of coming and going
Often they already have someone "in district " that they wish to hire but have to go through the process (facade) of interviewing. Many years ago this happened to me for a long term sub position for a teacher out on maternity leave. The principal told me I did not get the position, but also told me that this was a "good" thing as, you never know, that teacher might miscarry and she might have to come back early. Hand on Bible, this is what the principal said.
I have had this happen many times. Sometimes I then get a call from the school that the in district person was leaving
Did you receive a letter informing you you were not hired?
The school is close to home (15 minute commute), and I also like the fact that it is an Academy of the Arts Magnet School-I like tying the fine arts into my mathematics lessons.
