Is anyone here in the UK?
Hi all,
Does your organization have a good work-life balance, especially for IDs? Or do you know any such organisation? Currently I am working for more than 12 hours a day. I am a mother of one year old, hence, want to switch to the organization, which has less work pressure.

I just got an email from a recruiter from Google!
Omgomgomgomg
He said that the position is in the Bay Area or New York. I haven’t replied the email. I don’t think we can move to those cities, but I don’t want to lose this opportunity. Does anyone know if Google does remote jobs within US?

Always take the opportunity to interview. If they are giving it to you, they clearly see something in your resume that intrigues them.
You may blow them away and get the opportunity. It’s up to them to develop you to gain any skills that are not there right now. I’ve heard you should only take jobs where you don’t have all the skills, so there is opportunity to grow .
Another scenario is they can have you take a similar role, perhaps a down level. This will enable you to gain experience to eventually get to said posted role.
Either way, go through the interview process and do your best. Once you get an offer, explore the career trajectory with the hiring manager.
Wishing you the best!
Thanks for the advice! I’m going to email them back.
