The recruiter told me there’s no more wiggle room in the base which is much lower than expected. I also interviewed for L5 and was offered L4 with 11 YOE which I was very surprised by.

Base: $66k
1st Year Sign On: $58k
2nd Year Sign On: $44k
RSU: 930 shares

I was really hoping for a base closer to $100k which probably would’ve been possible at L5 so the drop really sucks.

Does anyone have any lead on how to get a headhunter to do your job search? Are they industry specific? Do they prefer working with someone looking at a director level position? Or a very technical position? Have any recommendations on where to start (other than google). Thanks!

As a student in the final year with professional experience in accounting, i think about dropping into software sales. I got an offer for 68k€ annually (Big4 ususally 55k€ offers). Especially as a young person, i wonder if learning opportunities are good in software sales. What do you think?
