I applied to several tech companies with referrals and my freshly revised resume just about like a week and a half ago and I'm getting antsy about seeing a response. Could someone calm me down? Lol

Hi! I totally understand the anxiety. But also think of it this way, by worrying you’re not gonna speed up the process. But also, I’m sure you’re more than capable to land a position you got this!

Product designers, has it been difficult to transition from a start-up to a more established company (doesn’t have to be big tech)? I am having trouble landing those interviews. I understand it can be resume, portfolio and whatever. BUT I am truly trying to understand how someone was able to transition to larger company. Please feel free to share your stories.

What can I say to recruiters that will WOW them or replace the fact I have no degree because that’s what most of these company’s require.

Hello, after doing some research I believe I’m being underpaid. About 4 months ago HR did a market analysis for my role. They bumped my salary for about $2k. I’m a mid-level Executive assistant with 6 years of experience and currently supporting 5 executives at a fortune 50 company. One C level and 4 Vice Presidents. I’m currently making $61,000 with bonus included. Based on my research I should at least be making $71,400. I have a check in with my boss tomorrow and I am asking for a raise.

Need help on deciding to stay or accept new job offer:

Current role pros: a lot of responsibility, on investments team, like industry focus, good growth potential, CEO loves me, more “prestigious” for whatever that’s worth, learning more really smart people - new role pros: matched base and bonus, better WLB, carried interest - new role cons: switching out of investment to portfolio management, don’t like industry as much, less “prestige”, forgoing bonus I’ll get in March no sign on bonus
