Unless this is a job you would prefer to take, I would email the second firm saying that it’s been X months since you applied, that you have taken another position in the meantime, and you are no longer interested. There is no need to waste your time or their time if you are not going to take the job. Also, a great reminder to their HR team to be more efficient with their recruiting process for other applicants. But if you really want to see if they would give you a better offer, put your minimum salary / total compensation in your email response and see if they’ll bite at it. Again, no need to waste your and their time interviewing if it isn’t going to be good enough.

Right. If you're honest about your primary previous employers termination date, that's good enough. No need to disclose any recent new role if you don't want to.
