I applied to work for my dream company as an EA and the interview process was going well. They loved me but did not think I was a good fit for the role I applied for. They did however think I would be a good fit for another role opening up in a few weeks. I expressed that I was open to the role but I have not heard back since. It has been about a month. Should I give up on my dream company or trust the process? I have reached out twice so far.

OP. People who interview are normally not interested in getting back in touch with those they don't see potential in. I'm sure they meant it. Things get delayed internally and they don't know what to tell you. You reached out twice. Don't follow up in the same way. Be creative like in mid March reach out saying - as we approach Q2 I wanted to inquire if the role we discussed has now posted...

Don't pressure them but look calm yet excited. Make them feel you'll be fun to work with

Never give up on your dream, give it maybe one more week and reach out again. If this position does not come through continue to keep a look out for other opportunities that may come up and if interested apply. If it’s meant for you it will happen.

See if you can find anyone you spoke to during the process on LinkedIn and connect with them, then message them try to form some sort of relationship outside of even just interviewing, make yourself stand out and be memorable. What BC1 said above is most def accurate it’s probably been delayed, but that doesn’t mean that’s the only role you would be suited for so if you can make yourself memorable and create a relationship you can circle back with frequently to check in on other opportunities you will give yourself a leg up in the game. Check If they do hiring events and attend them, meet some other people in the company outside of who you met with already and try to build relationship there as well

I don’t have advice beyond what’s given above, but i do wish you well! I hope this goes your way and you land the position!

You got this!

I see this guy KPJ(hiding the identity) in this CTS bowl scaring the heck out of people who are asking questions related to CTS hiring.

Mr.KPJ, let me tell you your problem, your previous employer might be a small company which might have done something wrong with someone in the past and CTS might have Blacklisted it, which is clearly out during your BGC.

If your previous employer is the problem why the hell are you saying bad others about CTS hiring.

Reading through some possible interview questions for FAANG. One of the ones I've seen on Glassdoor are to design a basic architecture structure for something like Netflix or Twitter or Spotify. I've been researching online using AWS or GCP (still learning all the moving parts of architecture). Any advice on how the setup would be? I'm assuming you'd start with some Load Balancers. For Netflix maybe have different different APIs for signing up vs scrolling through possible movies?

I’m an accounting advisory M2 in Los Angeles and hoping to find a position around $150k in industry. However a recruiter said that’s too high and I should be looking more around $130-140k, I can’t tell though if she’s being honest or just hoping I’ll take a smaller salary so that she can get an easier commission. Thoughts?

I work in-house on a media team for a B2B organization and I’m the only person on my team who deeply understands media. Two new hires who I had zero say around hiring have both asked me basic media questions (how programmatic works, media mix and how we work with vendors). My boss has ZERO media experience and is more of a bottle neck than anything else. I’m venting here but I’m wondering if other in-house media folks have experienced this and how do you navigate it?

Thank you!!! Xx
