My colleague at work who’s in the junior parallel role / receptionist just drives me crazy. As a Marketing specialist, I oversee our social pages + following on requests from there. Yesterday she said - “Maybe you could also reply to all requests on our general customer email?” I said I don’t know how to prioritise with my main responsibilities - boss and big boss present and stayed silent. Poor time management / ignorance / passive aggression? Feel pity for her! 😡

Hi. What do you do with a gaslighting boss and coworker in a small office? I also don’t feel like my boss even cares about me. Examples- there was a man with a gun in parking lot that I had to flee from and call police, he didn’t care- just asked me when I was coming back to work.😳 zero compassion. didn’t care I had a blinking light above my desk, waited two months to fix it though my eye was twitching! Makes me feel like a burden for taking care of my health, etc. and gaslights me regularly!

I’ll be asking my last job for a letter of recommendation but I’m not sure who to ask. My boss, who is lovely and would write an amazing LOR. Or my boss's boss who would put minimal effort in but it would have more weight.

I'm not sure what else I did other than being respectful and not giving flip at the same time but (4) mature ladies in my office flirt with me every chance they get. Some of my M colleagues are beginning to notice and giving the prod. I must confess it comes with some perks as I do appreciate how fast they process my requests/orders which a M colleague literally told me is biased. Is it silly to want to feel valued by my Partner/Practice Leader?

He rewards me well rating/comp-wise, gives me a lot of latitude etc but OTOH I constantly get blown off for check-ins, multiple emails ignored, excluded from some conversations that might be relevant for me, etc.

Maybe it’s just normal Partner behavior and I should grow a thicker skin, but generally feel emotionally disconnected from him and that my portfolio of work is not integral, or is an afterthought, to the practice.

I always had a feeling my team didn’t like me as much as the other members on my team. Just found out that they’ve been having happy hour sessions and left me off the invite. 😪

Any suggestions for classroom management? I push in and pull out - when I push in to the classroom the kids are well behaved.. it’s when I pull them out is when they start to get all silly!

How do I get better at handling positive feedback? Was told I did a great job and I immediately think the guy’s lying to my face so he doesn’t have to have an awkward conversation with me.

Signed an offer and planning on letting my boss and HR know soon. I want to give a generous amount of time before my official last day but I’ve heard that others gave more than 2-3 weeks and were still treated badly or the same on their way out. Should I just do the usual two weeks? Any advice on things I should plan before letting them know? My boss is always making last minute changes to my schedule. Adding shifts or asking me to cover for other people. Any advice on how to handle this? I want to be a team player but the last minute changes stress me out.
