I became an uncle yesterday and am trying to deck my nephew out in some rad baby clothes. Anyone have recs on stores with fun/unique baby stuff?

If you want to be actually useful, buy clothes for 9+ months. Everyone gets new parents a ton of 0-6 months clothes, my kids had more than they could wear.
Look online for Tony Hawk kid’s clothes. They’re obviously skater-ish, but some cool colors a d styles. My son looked amazing in this teal-ish / black polo. Was jealous, I totally would have worn that shirt.

That’s great! I love Zara and H&M clothes for my son. Definitely the most stylish affordable options I’ve found.

New parent here and I do appreciate the younger baby clothes. We take tons of pictures and since the baby doesn’t do much and basically has the same expression in every photo, cool clothes makes it more fun. I’d suggest getting both newborn and 9+ if you can afford it.

And congrats! I remember being a first time uncle - it was a different feeling of love!

Magnetic me onesies. They aren’t cheap, but as parents they are the best in the middle of the night. No zippers and no snaps. Best PJs ever

Jacadi - that’s all’s you need to know. Everything from there is top notch and babies look sooooo cute in them

Hi, I am a single-parent with a 9 year old daughter. Is anyone else dealing with same gender sleepovers with sexual exploration occurring? Exploring as in my daughter says outright “I am going to kiss you,” to her bestie before bed. Then after 15 minutes of giggling in bed I go to tell them to be quiet and see my daughter’s bestie is showing her buttcheeks to my daughter. To top it off they start trying to tell me they are laughing because they are reading “belly laugh books for kids”. Help.

Crazy ethics issue. Client 1 has VPO against man who later becomes Client 2. This is the 4th VPO this year, previous ones dismissed.

In the meantime, State has filed rape charges against man who becomes Client 2 and A/B charges against Client 1. Client 1 also files for divorce.

Clients reconcile (which is how they both end up clients...) and want VPO dismissed, divorce dismissed, and criminal charges dismissed.

DHS gets involved and want to remove the child from Client 1's custody. (1/2)

I had a non traditional path out of law school because I graduated at the height of the Great Recession and my mother was seriously I’ll with cancer. I’ve worked for 2 big four firms in internal positions within compliance/regulatory for a total of 6+ years and am ready to make a move. What is my next best one? Is it totally impossible for me to go to a law firm?

Has anyone figured out how to not feel absolutely horrendous when you wake up? I dread mornings because waking it so hard for me.

I prioritize getting 7-8 hours of sleep (this is the best I can do at the moment with work and a small baby) and I’ve stopped drinking because even 1 beer seems to make the morning 10x worse. Anything else I can try?

Associates, how did you balance your morning sickness and fatigue in early pregnancy with work? Thankfully I’m still WFH, but worried about receiving insane turnarounds that require me to stay up late/all night and the effect it might have on the baby. I’m past my hours for the year and feel like I should be able to say no, but the team I’m on has a tendency to push past no’s.

Is it a red flag as a candidate to ask if a company offers maternity leave? I was recently laid off, so I wasn't expecting to lose my job. We're planning on trying for a baby in the next year or so, so it's really important to me that my next job offers paid maternity leave.

The issue is that it's so rarely advertised on company web sites, but ultimately better maternity leave would sway my decision for a job. Is there a way to ask this tactfully? Or without raising red flags?
