Wait until this guy learns about supply and demand
Rolex is the LV tote for dudes, pure keeping up with the Joneses status symbols at this level of demand.
Visual Storyteller
All this is true, the catch is IF you get them at retail. If not, then the answer is different. Right now, virtually impossible for a 1st time Rolex customer to get anything at retail…partly because of demand for luxury watches and partly because of the game Rolex and their ADs are playing
Enthusiast
It’s all fun and games until you try and buy one. Also they are so commonly faked, would not be surprised if many were of dubious authenticity.
I wear omegas frequently. Would love a Rolex but don't want to play the games you need to with an AD. I'll grab one when if demand ever drops but until then I love walking into an AD or a Boutique and buying one same day when the mood strikes.
I thought about buying a Rolex but then it hit me....I wasn't buying it because I liked the style...I was just buying it because I wanted something flashy.
Since that awakening...I have bought watches that I like. Latest purchase was a quartz Breitling. Next one might be a Tag Connected. I'm now all about buying watches that I like....as opposed to what everyone things I should buy ( rolexes, Patel blah blah).
Just my two cents on how I am enjoying my watches these days
Hahaha....Patel.....I wonder what I was thinking when I wrote that. Hahaha. No more drinking wine and fishbowling for me
I bought two DJ’s for my parents and passed on a submariner and GMT that was in stock back in 2016 as I preferred Breitling Navitimer and Panerai back then. Thoroughly regretting it now as I could have doubled my investment.
