1st year experienced associate. Not crazy about the job and am considering exit opportunities into FP&A. When is it too late/too early to leave? Don’t want to become pigeonholed to accounting. Have no FP&A experience, but a bachelors and masters in accounting along with a CPA.

When the job description states "build the team" that is probably a clear indicator that they are not staffed and whoever they hire is going to have to network and recruit to fill positions, right?

Would appreciate any input. My friend is transitioning to another job. She’s put 4-week notice in accordance with her contract. However, seems like her employer is giving her hell for such “short notice”🤷‍♀️ There are concerns for her due to small industry in this area. Potential retaliation? Is there anything I could recommend her? She still has 4 weeks with them 🤦‍♀️

How do you know when you should accept a job offer? I’m struggling with an offer I currently have - the whole package is pretty decent and I got along with the people I interviewed with. However, they were all 10-15 years older than me so I’m not sure how that will work out for me in the future. I’m also not completely sure if I want this job since it’s an area of accounting that I’m not familiar with, but at the same time I want to leave public before busy season.
